Why Research thinking matters to us?

When we want  our acts to be meaningful and useful, we need to contribute to problem solving respecting the challenges at our hand. If we want to learn the art of problem solving, we need to RESPOND to situations at our hand instead of REACT.

What is difference between RESPOND and REACT? REACT is all about answering the problems at hand based on our basic instincts, emotions without thinking all aspects of the problem at hand. RESPOND is all about answering the problems at hand through thoroughly thinking through 360 degrees of the consequences of different choices to be made by respecting our role and duty at hand.

So, if you want to contribute to meaningful and useful acts, you must RESPOND to things .. Just REACTION in most scenarios may hit our opportunities and abilities badly. To Respond to problems at hand, we need to learn the art of research.

All progress is born of inquiry. Doubt is often better than overconfidence, for it leads to inquiry, and inquiry leads to invention”, is a famous Hudson Maxim in context of which the significance of research can well be understood. Increased amount of research makes progress possible. Research inculcates scientific and inductive thinking, and it promotes the development of logical habits of thinking and organization.”

Research has its special significance in solving various operational and planning problems of business and industry. Operations research and market research along with motivational research are considered crucial and their results assist, in more than one way, in taking business decisions.

To me, personally, research process appears to be scientific tool to connect my past experience towards solving the problems at hand. It helps me to RESPOND to situations at hand. It makes me enjoy the process of logical thinking and problem solving...

We all know... Results are not in our control… However, attempt towards our goal is in our hand. When we base our decisions and actions based on qualitative and quantitative research methods… For sure... we gain useful experience irrespective of the results that we produce through our acts. Because there cannot be any failure... Either you win or learn...

Industry wants people who effectively connects the dots of ground experiences with the dots of academia research (because they describe your previous experiences in various angles) towards better tomorrow... For this research process and research thinking helps to contribute better.... Because in every context, with research mindset, either we can be part of “Win” or we can be part of “Learning” … Research thinking indeed makes great difference in this process…
